About us
Our Vision
Our vision is to connect guests with local Hosts so they can support their communities and make a difference in maintaining and building Hawaii’s food supply chain. Currently Hawaii is importing 80% of its food supply so we are promoting farm programs to increase food production and sustainability in the Hawaiian Islands. We believe that by working together, we can create a more equitable and sustainable future for all.
Our Mission
Our mission is to support participants and empower Hawaii's farm communities by providing access to basic necessities, education, and accommodations to participants. Volunteers participating in the program help local farms by doing some part-time volunteer work in exchange for a free stay.
Our Approach
Our purpose to the traveling guests is to empower them to enjoy farming and teach them skills to establish their own garden/farm, or for anyone interested in the Hawaii life! Plus, gardening and farming is good for the mind, body, and spirit and connecting ourselves to nature is very healthy for our mental health and mood. Many guests leave their Host’s place feeling inspired after gaining a bigger perception on where your food comes from, the fun in growing your own food and how to run a business.
