Workaway Hawaii provides visitors with an amazing Hawaii experience and includes a private room for you to stay, relax and sleep, but Workaway Hawaii is also a unique cultural and educational program, learning about farming, plants, starting your own business, and different cultures. Visitors, or ‘Guests’, volunteer a few hours each day helping out on a Host’s Farm Resort, learn about the organic farming and sustainability, and receive free room and board, plus delicious healthy food, during their visit – with no money exchanged between Hosts and guests.  Guests have the option of other tasks to assist with instead of helping out on farms, depending on skills or interests of guests, such as writing blogs for farms, making videos or creating content to promote farming programs, and running errands to support rehabilitating farms.

This program is open to anyone 16 years of age or older, regardless of experience or skills. Unlike other websites, there is no membership fees – it is completely FREE to join! We encourage all types of guests to participate and work together with their Host to strengthen sustainable agriculture in Hawaii while you enjoy Hawaii’s beautiful scenery! Workaway Hawaii's Hosts offer guests a variety of educational opportunities, including growing fruits and vegetables.

Length of visit is optional. Guests can visit a Hawaii Host for just a few days or as long as many months. You Host may even sponsor you for a job or extended stay. 

It’s your responsibility to contact hosts and make arrangements for your visit to Hawaii. Be prepared to have a great trip to Hawaii, while receiving meals, accommodations, and a rewarding educational experience.
